Whiston Motor Factors began from very humble beginings, the two founding partners of the company were two friends Victor Gamble and Bernard Sheehan.

The business started in February 1982 after both men became redundant from their then current jobs. Vic working as a machine fitter and Bernie as a sales rep. Both Vic and Bernie shared an interest and passion in car repairs, fitting clutches, brakes and other items together in Bernies garage for friends and family.

The company was formed and a premises located in Greenes Road Whiston where the two friends could continue their passion for cars by working together . They survived the mid 1980's recession and entered the 1990's, which saw a period of prosperity for most and as the car industry grew so did the company, making many friends along the way... some sadly who have now passed away.

In 2001 the oppertunity arose to purchace the St Helens site in Wolseley Road, and it was opened in the same year and became the company's main office and stores.

In September 2009 the Newton-le-Willows branch was opened at 18 Oxford Street. Tel 01925 226689

In March 2011 the Widnes branch was opened at 14 Lugsdale Road. Tel 0151 423 5355

September 2011 saw the Liverpool branch opening in Stoneycroft at 95 Green Lane. Tel 0151 228 5111

The Whiston Motor Factors customer base has spread far and wide, some of our customers live as far away as Manchester !

Its now almost 33 years that we have existed as a company and the main reason is still you, our customer, we are real people living in the real world.

The parts we sell are still the same parts that get fitted to our family's and friends cars as Vic and Bernie did back then.

Yes we could buy and sell cheaper parts, but we are not prepared to put anyone especially our friends and family, or more importantly you our customers and company reputation in harms way, we still all live, eat, drink and socialise locally !

Thank you for taking the time to read this - the story so far of Whiston Motor Factors.

Mr A V Gamble (Andy)
Mr S Sheehan (Steve)
